Itinerary

You'll start your journey by flying from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj in western Nepal. This city serves as a gateway to the Dolpo region. You'll spend the night in Nepalgunj.

After a short domestic flight to Juphal, the trek begins as you make your way to Dunai, a charming town at 2,140 meters. This marks the start of your trek.

You'll continue trekking from Dunai to Ankhe, passing through scenic landscapes and gaining altitude.

Trekking from Ankhe to Sulighat, you'll notice the terrain changing as you ascend into higher altitudes.

The highlight of your trek, you'll reach the stunning Phoksundo Lake at an altitude of 3,611 meters. Take in the breathtaking scenery and enjoy your time by the deep blue lake.

A day to rest and acclimatize while exploring the area around Phoksundo Lake, including the Shey Gompa and nearby villages.

Continuing your trek, you'll move from Phoksundo Lake to Phoksundo Khola, trekking alongside pristine rivers.

You'll reach Shey Gompa, an ancient and significant monastery, while hiking through this remote terrain.
